Laser refractive surgery has proven effective as a treatment for many different types of eye conditions. It is commonly used for correcting myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.
By manipulating the shape of the cornea using laser light, you can correct irregularities in its curvature.
The procedure is quite fast, typically taking less than 10 minutes per eye to complete.
What to Expect from Laser Refractive Surgery
The surgery has shown itself to be very effective for suitable candidates. It is fast and effective, with results often being permanent.
After surgery you may be required to attend vision therapy to rehabilitate the eye that had the procedure done. You may also have to wear an eye patch for a period of time, as recommended by the surgeon or your Optometrist.
Vision improvement from the surgery can be experienced in as little as a day or two after the operation.
