Optometry has given me so much to be thankful for! One of the things I value most is the privilege of meeting and getting to know wonderful people every day. I love helping people enjoy sharp, comfortable vision. I do all that I can to ensure that your needs are met and that your eyes stay healthy for a lifetime.
I built West 10th Eyes to be a community partner. We have donated eye care services to the Foundation Fighting Blindness, and we are active as a volunteer in the Point Grey Village Fiesta Days. West 10th Eyes has given me the perfect space to do what I love, and the ability to do it in the best way that I can.
As a native of Windsor, ON, I was first drawn to Vancouver by the mountains. I visited on a skiing trip once… and the rest is history! I followed my dream of living near the mountains and ocean, and my love for Vancouver and of Optometry has only grown since.
I graduated from the University of Waterloo – Doctors of Optometry in 1990. I would like to personally thank my wonderful family – my husband and my two teenage boys.
I look forward to meeting you soon!
Dr. Jessica Cullis graduated with honors from the School of Optometry at the University of Waterloo. She received additional training in ocular pathology with an emphasis on retinal disease and diabetic retinopathy in Birmingham, Alabama.
She was born and raised in Richmond, and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree at UBC. True to her West Coast roots, Dr. Cullis is an outdoor enthusiast: an avid rock climber, skier and hiker. In June 2015, she welcomed a beautiful daughter to her family and enjoys spending time watching her grow.
Dr. Cullis has been very involved in volunteer work for eyecare. In November of 2009, she and Dr. Wagner took part in the Third World Eyecare Society’s mission to Addis Adaba, Ethiopia. Most recently, she has been involved in fundraising for the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
Dr. Brandon Baker graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry with honours. He obtained training in eye pathology and disease in Baltimore, MD, which included grand round lectures at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute. During his studies, he was nominated by his classmates to receive the Dr. Michael Gutweinn award upon his graduation.
Dr. Baker is fully committed to all aspects of Optometry, and strives to deliver comprehensive eye care by viewing the eye as a window into the overall health of his patients.
When Dr. Baker is not in the clinic, he is an avid participant in all manner of board sports and outdoor adventures. He enjoys inspiring others to get the most out of their lives.
Dr. Truong was born and raised in a small town in Ontario. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science from University of Waterloo, she went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry from New England College of Optometry (NECO) in Boston, MA.
She has gained valuable experience through her clinical rotations in hospital, speciality, private, and community health centre settings. She has worked in areas of ocular disease, speciality contact lenses, dry eye, pediatrics, vision therapy, concussion/TBI, OD/OMD co-management, and primary care. During her time in optometry school, she was involved in several extracurricular activities including her role as Past President of Canadian Association of Optometry Students (CAOS) NECO Chapter. She is an active member of British Columbia Doctors of Optometry (BCDO) and Canadian Women in Eye Care (CWEC).
Dr. Truong strives to create an inclusive environment for everyone. She feels tremendous gratitude being an optometrist, as it allows her to create small moments with her patients and impact their quality of life through excellent eye care. She is excited to have the West 10th Eyes team on her side to help create these moments!
Outside of the exam room, Dr. Truong enjoys exploring what great nature British Columbia has to offer through backpacking, bouldering, running, and photography.

Eyewear and vision flow through my veins! I started in this business as a teenager working in my Dad’s optical shop here in Vancouver. In that time I have seen glasses go from basic, utilitarian devices to the very best fashion accessory you can have. While the fashion side of glasses has changed, we have also seen lens technology go through a major change. So while we spend time choosing the best frame, we will always look at the optics first. No matter how great we make your glasses look, it is essential that you see your very best!
If for some reason you’d really like to talk to me about something other than your prescription glasses, I love to travel every chance I get!

Yes, I am THAT busy, but when I am at West 10th Eyes all I think about is what pair of eyeglasses I will style you in today.
Several years ago I found my passion in frame purchasing. I love to travel the world to find the next trend and exclusive designers to share with you. Come see me for your frame selection, lens selection and all your quirky questions. I LOVE this stuff. (Seriously! My social media is full of stuff about optical. What’s new, what’s cool and what opticians like to argue about.) I am a straight-up optical nerd.
