Rigid gas permeable lenses are porous, allowing oxygen to better reach your eye. This means they can be fit so that they hug your eye more closely than other forms of rigid contact lens, making them more comfortable.

Rigid gas permeable lenses can provide sharper vision than soft or silicone hydrogel contacts, particularly for individuals with astigmatism.
